Department of Polymer Engineering of Budapest University of Technology and Economics is recognized as a well-equipped and highly innovative university department in the plastics industries in Europe.
The professional and academic cooperation between the Department of Polymer Engineering and Cavity Eye started in 2017. The Cavity Eye instruments were installed on all the injection moulding machine of the department. That time this meant only the pressure measurement system, but since then their equipment were upgraded with the new generation pressure measurement system, network solutions, and the most recently developed waterflow system.

The engineers of Cavity Eye and AGS Engineering have been cooperating with each other for several years. In 2020 the official partnership started between the two company. According the terms of agreement AGS Engineering undertook to prepare all of their mould for the possible use of Cavity Eye sensors free of charge, meanwhile Cavity Eye provide free validation service and expert consultation for the first mould trial.

The cooperation between Penn State Behrend Plastics Engineering Technology Department and Cavity Eye Hungary started in 2019, thanks to participation in Penn State Plastics Technologies Conference. During that time Cavity Eye system was installed on the university’s one injection moulding machine and mould for research purposes.
